High School and Jr. High 2023 Fall Sports

Practice/tryouts will begin on  Monday, August 7th for all high school fall sports (Football, Girls Tennis, Softball, Boys Soccer, Volleyball).  Junior High Football practice will begin on Monday, August 14th.

All students must have a current sports physical on file.  Sports physicals are valid for two school years. Parents and students must also complete the MSHSAA Pre-Participation documentation forms that are required yearly.  Physical forms and Pre-Participation Forms can be found at the links below, or picked up in the High School or Junior High School offices.

Students must give a "pink slip" to their coaches on the first day of practice in order to participate.  These slips verify that students have turned in all necessary paperwork and are eligible to participate.  Pink slips can be picked up in the high school office the week of July 31st - August 4th for high school students, and in the junior high office the week of August 7th - 11th for junior high students.  Students will not be allowed to practice if they have not turned in a pink slip to their coach.  Practice times/locations will be posted in the coming days for all sports.

SEMO Health Network will be offering free sports physicals at the high school clinic on Thursday, July 27th from 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm.

Please contact the Sikeston High School office at 573-472-8850 with any questions.  Thank you!

Red and Black

There’s a school in the south Missouri

That is known throughout the state;

She’s a school of highest credit;

None other half so great.

We shall never cease to love her

Nor honor shall she lack;

As we go to dear old Sikeston

’Neath the Red and Black.
