Event Guidelines

Boys/Girls Basketball and Boys/Girls Wrestling Home Events

In order to ensure the opportunity for our students to participate in athletics throughout the winter and beyond, a few protocols have been put into place for Sikeston Public Schools events. Please understand, these guidelines can be amended at any time in order to provide the safest atmosphere for our players, fans and community.

Masks and Social Distancing

All spectators will be expected to wear a mask at all times while attending events on any SPS campus.  We ask spectators to distance from others and avoid sitting on the tape marking the bleachers to space out seats in the facility.

Tickets

All Sikeston events will have a maximum of 50% capacity at all SPS locations.  Tickets are ONLY available online through our ticketing partners at hometownticketing.com.  Access tickets through this link Sikeston Athletics or go to the Sikeston High School website, sa.sikestonr6.org and click on the game you want to attend. 

Participant/Family Member Ticket Information

• All spectators will be required to have a ticket to enter the game.
• Coaches will receive a list of “players passcodes” for families to buy up to 4  tickets per event.
• Family members will have the opportunity to buy tickets ONE week before the contest.
• All tickets are $3.00 adult/$2.00 student

General Ticket Admission

• All Spectators will be required to have a ticket to enter the event
• Tickets are $3.00 adult/$2.00 student
• If there are available seats after the teams have an opportunity to purchase tickets then the general admission tickets will go on sale 48 hours prior to the event.
• Tickets will only be sold at the gate ONLY IF there are remaining seats available.

Student Section

All SHS students will be required to purchase a ticket before entering the contest (including Red Peppers and Bleacher Bums).  If students purchase a student section ticket, they MUST sit in the student section. Student section tickets are priced at $2 per seat. Each student will be allowed to buy ONE student ticket in the student section. Student section tickets are limited. Once they sell out, there will not be any more available student section tickets.

Employee Tickets

All employees will be required to have a ticket before entering the event.  SPS will still honor ONE ticket per employee. However, these will be limited due to the 50% capacity rule.  If you are an SPS employee and want to attend a game, call the athletic office to receive a “passcode” and instructions on how to get the ticket if seats are available.

Live-stream

Varsity basketball games and some additional events will be livestreamed at the following link or you can visit the SPS-TV Sikeston High School YouTube Channel.  Fans can view from your computer, smartphone and most wi-fi enabled devices.  Fans may be able to cast from device to TV!

Visitor Seating

Visitor seating will be behind the scorers table for both basketball and wrestling. For basketball events, please do not sit behind the SHS bench.  SHS JV/Varsity players will sit there when not playing.  The visitor student section will be on the far side of the visitor’s bleachers. If visiting students purchase a student ticket they are required to sit in the visiting student section.

Home Seating

Home spectators will sit on the east side bleachers across from the scorers table for both basketball and wrestling. If home spectators tickets are purchased they are required to sit on the home bleachers.
